Andrew Kubersky, ASA, has been a specialist for more than thirty years in the area of closely-held business valuations with emphasis in ESOP and stock option areas. One of the most experienced ESOP appraisers in the country, he has performed, reviewed, and supervised valuations and other financial opinions for hundreds of companies. He has valued all classes of common and preferred stock as well as other securities in a wide range of industries and is qualified as an expert witness on the valuation of closely-held companies and their securities.
Over the last three decades Mr. Kubersky's technical articles on business valuations and ESOP valuation have been published in The Journal of Employee Ownership Law and Finance, The Business Valuation Review, and The ESOP Report. He is a contributing author of ESOP Valuation, published by the National Center for Employee Ownership, and taught Business Valuation at the Graduate School of Business of Golden Gate University. He is a frequent speaker in the area of his expertise before business and professional groups.

30 Years Experience as an ESOP Appraiser
Mr. Kubersky established his present consulting practice in 1989. From 1986 to 1989 he served as President of Valuation Analysts, Inc., and from 1977 to 1986 as Vice President and Senior Valuation Consultant of DYN Associates, which he co-founded and where he performed and supervised valuations and the implementation of Employee Stock Ownership Plan financing programs. Prior to the formation of DYN Associates, from 1975 to 1977 he was a financial analyst with the investment banking firm Kelso & Co., where his primary responsibilities included business and securities valuations for ESOP purposes. At Crocker Bank from 1971 to 1975, he served as Trust Investment Officer where he determined and negotiated the value of closely-held companies held in estates and trusts. Prior to Crocker, he held a similar position with Wells Fargo Bank.

Andrew Kubersky is a 1970 graduate of Hofstra University where he majored in Finance and Investments.

Professional Organizations
Mr. Kubersky was a founding member of and serves as Member Emeritus of the Valuation Advisory Committee, the valuation policy-making arm of the ESOP Association. He was the first Chairman of the Professional Advisory Committee of the California/Western States Chapter of the ESOP Association. Mr. Kubersky maintains active memberships in the American Society of Appraisers, in which he is an Accredited Senior Appraiser in the business valuation section; the National Center for Employee Ownership; The ESOP Association; and the Valuation Roundtable of San Francisco
